		<description>Regarding the 2nd point of hope—that the Qur&#039;án is not infallible—should mention that the authority of the Qur&#039;án cannot exceed that of the traditions on which a full understanding of the Qur&#039;án must depend. Anyone who asserts that to understand the Qur&#039;án one must understand the historical context within which the Qur&#039;án was &#039;revealed&#039; must concede that the Qur&#039;án cannot be any more authoritative or infallible than the historical source material on which a full understanding of it depends.</description>
